The school is an independent co-educational day school for boys and girls aged 2 to 16 years. Beech House School has been based at the Manchester Road site since 1850. It comprises a Lower Preparatory Department for children aged 2 to 7 now based at the Broadfield Road site. The Upper Preparatory Department for children aged 8 to 11 years and a Senior Department for those aged 11 to 16 years are still based at the Manchester Road site..
